Rural Exterior Renovation
Not satisfied with the existing stucco exterior on this rural farm home, the owners contacted kc&b to explore some options to replace and upgrade 80-90 % of the existing exterior. This newer, exquisite home is situated on a spectacular acreage in close proximity to the family run livestock operation.
After consideration and investigation, the owners decided to go with a combination of vertical and horizontal HardiePlank® Lap Siding, HardieShingle® Siding, and HardiePanel® Vertical Siding . The existing stone work remained and was featured and brought to life with the contrasting new materials.
The decision to go with Hardie products required complete removal and disposal of all existing stucco. The searing summer temperatures during this process re-evaluated the commitment levels of the kc&b workers involved. Happy to announce that they passed this test as was fully expected.
The front entrance to this home was renovated as well with the removal and replacement of existing posts and beams and replaced with a stained/laminated wood product. Work on the rear sunroom/covered deck included the recladding of all posts with stained wood.
The project was wrapped up with kc&b employees completing the parging on the base of the exterior walls using acrylic stucco.
The results……..simply spectacular
