Wheat City Medical Clinic-Brandon
July 2016
Wheat City Medical Clinic began exploring the options for growth when it became apparent that the current pharmacy facilities housed in their clinic was simply too small to efficiently service there growing needs.
After weighing the many possibilities, it was decided to expand not just the pharmacy but to add additional capabilities and to enlarge the clinic at the same time. With 2600 sq/ft of underutilized space right next door it was decided to enlist the Construction Management Services (CMS) of kc&b for this design-build project. The CMS contract covered the entire project from the pre-construction phase (drawings and engineering etc.) through to the completed workspace.
The final plan saw the addition of five medical exam rooms, an additional treatment room, two additional offices, a reception/waiting area and of course an enlarged pharmacy space. The previous walk-in clinic space has now been complimented by the expansion, with the addition of numerous medical specialist offering new services by appointment to existing clients and the local Brandon area.
